Dear Wahyanites, Cheung Chung Pan, aged 23, graduated from WYK in 2003 after sitting for the Hong Kong Certificate of Education. He has been suffering from lymphoedema, a disorder which results from the malfunctioning of the lymphatic system. His condition began to show when he was in Form Two (Grade 8). After months of in-depth discussions with various experts in education, Government officials and members of the DSS Task Force, a decision to defer the implementation of DSS (Direct Subsidy Scheme) has been made. In his announcement today, Fr. Deignan has outlined a series of positive steps to be taken for the future development of the two Wah Yans and made an appeal for the support of their alumni.
