Dear Wahyanites, Cheung Chung Pan, aged 23, graduated from WYK in 2003 after sitting for the Hong Kong Certificate of Education. He has been suffering from lymphoedema, a disorder which results from the malfunctioning of the lymphatic system. His condition began to show when he was in Form Two (Grade 8). It was bad when he was in Form Four and has deteriorated much since. Fr. Deignan’s Announcement on DSS

After months of in-depth discussions with various experts in education, Government officials and members of the DSS Task Force, a decision to defer the implementation of DSS (Direct Subsidy Scheme) has been made. In his announcement today, Fr. Deignan has outlined a series of positive steps to be taken for the future development of the two Wah Yans and made an appeal for the support of their alumni. The Wah Yan One Family Foundation, in partnership with Chong Hing Bank, has created a unique visa card, The Wah Yan One Family Visa Card, to drive support to help the Wah Yan family. If you apply and obtain the credit card, Chong Hing Bank will donate HK$150 per card to the Foundation, no question asked. Refurbishment of the Xavier Chapel on Shangchuan Island

This year is the 500th anniversary of the birth of St. Franics Xavier and the 450th anniversary of the death of St. Ignatius.
